BWP STARLINE Premium Wicker Basket is a beautifully crafted combination of natural woven wicker, a strong wooden frame, and functional storage design. It brings a warm, elegant and premium look to modern kitchens, wardrobes, living spaces and furniture interiors.
The basket features a carefully woven wicker body that provides a lightweight yet sturdy storage solution, while the solid wooden top frame adds strength, stability and a sophisticated natural appearance. The neat woven pattern gives the product a handcrafted character while maintaining a clean and uniform finish.
It is ideal for storing vegetables, fruits, kitchen essentials, groceries, towels, clothes, accessories, toys and household items. When installed as a pull-out basket, it provides convenient access to stored items while making efficient use of cabinet space.
At BWP Starline, the manufacturing philosophy should combine traditional craftsmanship with controlled production methods. Wicker manufacturing depends heavily on proper material selection, preparation, accurate forming, consistent weaving and final inspection. Industry references similarly emphasize material sorting, controlled drying/soaking, mould-based forming, weaving, trimming and final QC.
We begin by selecting suitable-quality wicker/rattan weaving material and wood according to the required basket design.
The material is checked for:
Only properly sorted material should proceed to production. Consistent cane/wicker dimensions help achieve a more uniform weave and finished appearance.
The selected wicker material is properly prepared to achieve the flexibility required for accurate weaving and shaping. Depending on the material, controlled drying and/or conditioning is used before weaving.
This stage is important because properly prepared material is easier to weave without unnecessary breakage and helps maintain the desired basket shape.
The wooden components are cut according to the approved product dimensions using controlled cutting methods.
Each frame component is checked for:
Length Width Squareness Joint accuracy Surface finish
Edges are properly finished to remove sharp or rough portions, creating a clean and premium appearance.
The prepared wicker is woven carefully around the basket structure.
Our recommended production control focuses on:
Wicker is fundamentally a weaving technique, and different natural materials can be used for the weaving process.
Special attention is given to the rim, corners and base, as these areas experience higher mechanical stress during regular use.
The wicker ends are neatly trimmed and secured, avoiding loose strands and uneven finishing. Excess material is removed to create a clean, professional appearance. Similar commercial rattan processes include trimming excess material and removing fine fibres before final QC.
After weaving and assembly, the complete basket is carefully inspected and finished.
The process includes:
Trimming Surface cleaning Smoothing Colour/finish checking Final appearance inspection
